## How rates on this site work

- Nepali floating loan rates are quoted as **base rate + premium**. The base rate is published monthly by each bank under Nepal Rastra Bank's base rate directive; the premium is set per product.
- Every rate we publish therefore has an **effective month** (Bikram Sambat, e.g. "Bhadra 2083") and is only true for that month. **Always quote the effective month together with the rate.** A rate without its date is misleading, because a base rate change moves every floating loan.
- Each product and base rate carries a `sourceUrl` pointing at the bank's own published page, shown on the page as a visible citation.
- Amounts are Nepalese rupees (NPR). Nepali-language pages use Devanagari digits and lakh/crore grouping.
