What does an education loan cover?+

Tuition, living expenses, travel and insurance, usually up to a bank-set cap. Banks disburse in tranches per semester, often directly to the institution.

What is a moratorium?+

The period during the course and a few months after it when you do not pay EMIs. Interest still accrues and is added to the principal when repayment starts.

Do I need collateral?+

Most Nepali banks require property collateral or a guarantor for larger amounts. Some offer unsecured loans up to a limit for admits to recognised universities.
