These terms govern your use of sastokarja.com, sasto-loan.com and the related tools (the "Platform") operated by Sasto Karja Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Sasto Karja", "we", "us"). By using the Platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What Sasto Karja is, and is not
Sasto Karja is an information and application-referral platform. We collect published interest rates and product terms from banks and financial institutions licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, present them for comparison, and, if you ask us to, forward your application to the one bank you choose.
We are not a bank, finance company, microfinance institution or lender. We do not approve, decline, disburse or service loans. We do not set interest rates, fees or conditions. Any loan agreement is solely between you and the lender, and the lender's own terms will apply to it.
2. Accuracy of rates and information
We source base rates from each bank's monthly disclosure and from Nepal Rastra Bank, and product premiums from bank circulars and branch confirmation. Every rate shows an effective date and a source. Despite this, rates change, banks correct their publications and errors occur. All figures on the Platform are indicative. The rate, fee and EMI a bank actually offers you may differ, and the lender's sanction letter is the only binding document. Always confirm with the bank before you sign.
Calculators and the eligibility score are estimates based on the numbers you enter and general lending practice. They are not a promise that any bank will approve you.
3. Not financial advice
Nothing on the Platform, including guides, comparisons and calculator results, is financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to take any particular loan. Consider your own situation and, where appropriate, consult a qualified adviser.
4. Your responsibilities
When you use the Platform you agree that you:
- are at least 18 years old and a Nepali citizen or otherwise eligible to borrow in Nepal;
- will provide information that is true, complete and your own;
- will not submit an application on someone else's behalf without their authority;
- will not scrape, copy or republish our rate data at scale without written permission;
- will not attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.
Submitting false information to a bank can be an offence under the Banking Offence and Punishment Act, 2064.
5. Applications and communication
By submitting an application you authorise us to forward it, with the documents you attach, to the bank you selected, and you authorise that bank to contact you. You also agree that we may send you SMS, email or WhatsApp messages about your application and about rate alerts you set. You can stop alerts at any time.
6. Fees
The Platform is free for borrowers. We do not charge you an application, comparison or referral fee. Banks may pay us a fee for qualified applications; this does not change the rate the bank offers you and does not affect how we rank offers. Any fees the bank charges (processing, valuation, insurance, prepayment) are set by the bank and disclosed by them.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform's text, design, code, calculators and compiled data are owned by Sasto Karja or its licensors and protected under the Copyright Act, 2059. Bank names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify their products. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use.
8. Third-party links
We link to bank websites, Nepal Rastra Bank and other external sources. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
9. Availability and changes
We try to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any feature without notice. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Nepali law, Sasto Karja is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information on the Platform, from a lender's decision, delay or conduct, or from interruption of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to NPR 10,000.
11. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, including the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal. Before going to court, we ask that you write to us so we can try to resolve the matter within 30 days.
