Where Sasto Loan is ahead

  • It lists base rates for development banks and finance companies as well as commercial banks — 54 institutions to our 20.
  • It has an AI assistant you can ask loan questions.

Where Sasto Karja is ahead

  • Every base rate carries its month and a link to the bank's own publication, so you can see how current it is and check it.
  • We show the month-end rate for every bank and label the two that publish only an average, instead of mixing the two without saying.
  • One page compares every commercial bank's rate and works out your EMI for your amount and tenure.
  • The whole site, including the eligibility check, works in Nepali.

Why the month matters

A floating loan rate in Nepal is the bank's base rate plus a premium, and the base rate changes every month. A rate without its month cannot tell you whether it is this month's or three months old, and banks publish both a month-end figure and a three-month average. Knowing which one you are looking at is the difference between a fair comparison and a misleading one.

Is Sasto Karja the same as Sasto Loan?+

Can I use both?+

Yes. Neither site lends money. If you see different figures for the same bank, check the month and source: Sasto Karja links to each bank's own publication so you can confirm the latest rate yourself.
